This week Willow class have been learning all about tectonic plates, the movement of our continents, from our time as Pangaea to the Jurassic period and to how our world looks now! We have been building our continents in the sand tray and watching how the seas moved around the land. We looked at the inner core, and the earth’s layers and the Earth’s crust. The children have painted some beautiful paintings of the skies as the world was ending for the dinosaurs, AWWW.
This week B9 have been discussing the importance of a student council and having the pupil’s involvement in important school decisions.
We asked the children who wanted to be a class representative. Those interested gave a pitch to the class about why they would be best suited for the role.
The whole class then voted anonymously until the representative was elected.
We are looking forward to starting our journey with our pupil’s voice.
