Parent / Carer Survey re: Community Based Activities for Children with SEND
Dear Parents/Carers
We have been asked by Northumberland County Council to support our parents & carers to take part in a survey. This is to give them a better understanding of the difficulties that children with additional needs have, when accessing out of school activities.
This is your opportunity to share your experiences (good and bad)!!
The type of community based activities, which they are looking at are:
- Football Clubs
- Swimming Lessons
- Sports and Leisure Classes
- Brownies
- Scouts
- Youth Groups
A covering letter from Northumberland County Council will be emailed to you, and will also be available on our facebook page.
The letter will lead you to a link which you can use to express your interest if you wish to take part in this survey.
We hope that you take this opportunity to ‘have a voice’ and raise awareness of this shortfall in provision.
Many thanks

Dear Parent/Carer
Please see below, information regarding ‘Ofsted Parent Views’. We encourage our parents/carers to contact us anytime you have a query or a problem.
We would however, ask that you take 5 minutes to complete the parent questionnaire, which gives us further insight into our strengths or anything we need to address.
We thank you for taking the time to do this.
Introduction
Ofsted Parent View is an online survey that allows parents to give their views about their child’s school.
By ‘parents’, we mean any person with parental responsibility for a child at the school.
Parents can complete the survey at any time. It is also the main mechanism for parents to give their views to inspectors at the time of a school inspection.
The survey can be accessed directly from the Ofsted Parent View site or from the homepage of Ofsted website.
We would encourage parents to use Ofsted Parent View to give the views on a school either during an inspection or at any other time of the year.
