Some of our amazing students at The Dales School have been elected to make up our very special Pupil Voice committee; and we wanted to keep you at home updated with the wonderful things that we are working on.
The Pupil Voice group meets weekly to talk about school plans that are ongoing and exciting ideas for the future. So far, the students have decided that they would like to;
- raise money for a number of worthy charities
- organise some school-wide arts and crafts activities where all of our students will have the opportunity to work alongside each other
- consider the appointment of a therapy dog in school
- roll out the use of Makaton signing through school by way of creating a truly inclusive environment for all of our pupils
These are just some of the incredible ideas that the Pupil Voice students have come up with so far.
When we meet next, we will be getting busy in the kitchen cooking up some Easter treats to sell to our teaching staff in order to begin fundraising for one of our chosen charities- we’ll keep you posted!
